Kung Fu Panda 3 Movie Spoilers

The lovable Po is set to return again, but this time in 3D format. In this installment, “Kung Fu Panda 3,” Po (Jack Black) will face two different challenges. Can he sustain those challenges? Read on to know more details.

According to Entertainment Weekly, the “Kung Fu Panda” franchise are set to release the third sequel of the movie in 3D. The animated film will focus on the story of Po once again, but this time the adorable Po has to face two different challenges. While one challenge will be related to his personal life, the other one will be supernatural in nature.

Co-director of “Kung Fu Panda 3,” Jennifer Yuh Nelson revealed that the villain in this installment will be somebody beyond Shen and Tai Lung. Po will have to fight the mystical power bearer, Kai, a bull.

J.K. Simmons will voice for Kai. The actor had been praised for his work in “Whiplash”- a terrifying jazz instructor.

In an interview with US Today, he said, “I’ve played a variety of bad-assess in my career. I do like to mix it up. I like being a character actor playing different kinds of guys. Or now, different kinds of beasts.”

Kai, the villain of “Kung Fu Panda 3,” will be more furious, bigger and threatening as compared to all the antagonists in the previous series of the movie. Wearing a leather armor, Kai will be seen using two jade swords, and bear large horns.

However, Kai may not be the biggest encounter of Po as the protagonist will witness that there are also other pandas living around, including him.

The movie is likely to show the village of pandas and that is where lives Li (Bryan Cranston) – estranged father of Po. Finally, Po reunites with his father, but the story doesn’t ends here as he is bound to come across many challenges.

“Kung Fu Panda 3” is set to hit the theaters next year on Jan. 29.

Kung Fu Panda 3 Trailer: Father, Son and Their Bellies Are Reunited

If seeing Jack Black bring a rather peculiar version of R.L. Stine to life in Goosebumps last month wasn’t your cup of tea, maybe you’ll be more pleased with his return to animation in Kung Fu Panda 3, arriving early next year.

A new Kung Fu Panda 3 trailer has just arrived, giving us more of Po (Black) being reunited with his estranged father (Bryan Cranston). As teased at the end of Kung Fu Panda 2, there’s a whole panda village waiting to meet Po, but the reunion isn’t all bamboo and laughs when a new evil threatens to obliterate them.

That’s J.K. Simmons (Whiplash) as the new villain, who is a little too chatty for Po to deal with when the time comes for their final confrontation. And he’s the reason Po has to step up from student to teacher, so his new panda friends can stand up to the mystical villains. Of course, he’s not alone since the Furious Five (voiced by Jackie Chan, Lucy Liu, Angelina Jolie, David Cross, and Seth Rogen) and Master Shifu (Dustin Hoffman).

Clearly clumsiness runs in the panda family as they initially seem to be just as hopeless as Po was when he first started his training. Though I will say that Kate Hudson (who replaced Rebel Wilson) as Mei Mei seems like a promising warrior to fight alongside Po. Surely when all is said and done they will be able to defend themselves rather well, and Po will again be the hero that he never though he could be.

Anyway, these films have always been fun action adventure romps for the whole family, with fight sequences rivaling those done in live-action blockbusters. And Black has always been pitch perfect in the lead role, never feeling like he’s phoning it in. Although it is not due to hit theaters until January, 2016 Dreamworks has already released two trailers for the upcoming Kung Fu Panda 3, and the newest trailer gives a little nod to Star Wars.

The third movie in the series follows everyone’s favorite Kung Fu fighting panda Po (Jack Black), as he is reunited with his long-lost father (Bryan Cranston). The two pandas will not have a Luke Skywalker/Darth Vader type relationship, thankfully, as this father and son combo will be going on a journey together to a secret panda paradise. However, problems arise when a new villain named Kai (J.K. Simmons) sweeps across China to destroy all the kung fu masters. In order to defeat Kai, Po must train the pandas in the village to create an army of Kung Fu pandas.

The series’ superstar voice talent remains in tact, as Jack Black returns to voice Po in the film. He will, of course, be joined by Dustin Hoffman (Shifu), Jackie Chan (Monkey), Seth Rogen (Mantis), Lucy Liu (Viper), David Cross (Crane), and in what may hint at a possible dream sequence, Randall Duk Kim (Oogway). And although this is the third in the series, Kung Fu Panda continues to draw big names with the aforementioned Cranston and recent Academy Award-winner Simmons as new actors joining in on all the kung fu action.

At the end of Kung Fu Panda 2, we were served a glimpse of this secret panda paradise where Li, Po’s father, lives. Told in flashbacks, audiences learn that the two were separated after a group of wolves attacked their village. While fighting off the wolves, Li told Po and his mother to run and escape the village. Both Po and his father thought the other one was dead, until the end of the second film. While their background begins on a sad note, their the first trailer suggests a relationship filled with hilarity and lots of eating.

With more pandas, a long-lost father, and a new villain, Kung Fu Panda 3 is raising the stakes, so expect everyone to be kung fu fighting.

The third film of the acclaimed franchise has him finally meeting his biological clan…

The makers of Kung Fu Panda 3 have released the first trailer of the film. The trailer takes up from where the last part ended. With the addition that this time over Jack Black relaises that he is not the only Panda in the world. If we recall the makers released the first look from the film a few weeks back and now they are up with the trailer, which gives you more insight into Po’s life.

Kung Fu Panda 2 was released way back in 2011, but people still have a very strong loving connection with the obese yet loveable panda, who can spring up a mean kick if you dare cross with him. If you remember well, the last film ended on a cliff-hanger – Po (voiced by Jack Black) thought he was the only panda around, and had accepted Mr. Ping, a crane, as his father finally. It was then shown that, miles away, a clan of pandas still exists and one of them senses that his son is alive!

The third part of the franchise is all set to strike at your theaters on Januray 2016. Going by what we saw, Po will finally reunite with his biological relatives, including his real father, who will be voiced by Breaking Bad’s Bryan Cranston. However, the two come face to face and discuss about their lost family members, but couldn’t make out that they two are completely alike. Funny isn’t it?

The trailer also promises that there will also be some other ‘lil pandas to give him some competition to Po in cuteness. Though, I am guessing there will be some kind of friction between Po and his foster father, Ping, when the former discovers his real family.

Most of the original cast will also return for the three-quel – Tigress (Angelina Jolie), Monkey (Jackie Chan), Mantis (Seth Rogen), Viper (Lucy Liu) and Master Shifu (Dustin Hoffman). If you haven’t got it out of your head yet, there was some slight romantic vibe going on between Po and Tigress (yup, it sounds unearthly and awkward, but cute here!). In the third part, there will be another female vying for his affections – a female panda, voiced by Pitch Perfect‘s Rebel Wilson. That’s another aspect worth looking out for!
